The Permissions Pantry
Inkford: Permissions Bring Peace, Always
Inkford has a pantry behind the kitchen at Pasta la Vista. It’s not the food pantry. That one is sacred, full of olive oil, and the kind of pasta that makes you believe in love.
This pantry is smaller. Neater. Labeled. On the door is a sign that looks like it was written by someone who has watched authors panic:
PERMISSION IS PEACE.
Inside are folders, envelopes, and a ledger book with a thick spine. The locals call it The Permissions Pantry—the place you go when your book needs:

Quotes
Song lyrics (no, you can’t)
Poems (be careful)

Anything that isn’t fully yours
This week’s parable is about protecting your book without panic.
We’ll meet:
Skye, who grabs images “because everyone does.”
Nolan, who gets paralyzed by fear and uses nothing.
Rae, who keeps a clean permissions log and uses safe sources.
By Friday, Inkford will remind us: Protect your book: permission is peace.
Tomorrow: Skye plays a little fast and loose… and learns why “everyone does it” is not a legal strategy.
